ethos Percussion Group

Experience a night of compelling percussion music. Inspiring audiences throughout the country, ethos performs exceptional music, integrating global instruments and playing styles into conventions of Western chamber music. They have played at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater, the Bermuda Festival, London's Wigmore Hall and Percussive Arts Society International Convention.

Join accordionist Will Holshouser, guitarist/banjoist Matt Munisteri and tuba-ist Marcus Rojas as they put their own stamp on romantic waltzes and fiery swing tunes. Putting the emphasis on rhythm and improvisation, they bring an American attitude to this jazz-influenced French repertoire.

Morton, Benary and Karrer: Rockland’s Composer Evening

RoCA proudly presents Rockland composers John Morton, Barbara Benary and Lisa Karrer as they perform selections from their newest repertoire.

John Morton received two NYFA fellowships, has been profiled on NPR Weekend Edition Sunday. He is currently creating a sound installation for NY Central Park.

Barbara Benary is a classical string player and ethnomusicologist specializing in Indian and Indonesian music.

Lisa Karrer tours and collaborates international as director, composer, vocalist, performance and video artist, and had her multi-arts solo performance Schismism: Fractured America Pt.1 premiered at Flea theater, NYC in 2007.

Performance Artist Sarah Kipp
Febuary 10th, 2008 @ 2:30 pm, no charge

Sarah Kipp performs her spoken word work The Man in the Window. Kipp projects images of herself from the past onto her face and body, creating a psychological map of her life.

Artist's Pasta Dinner with Slavic Soul Party!

Come dance to the ten-piece brass band SLAVIC SOUL PARTY! Melding Gypsy, Eastern European, Mexican & Asian with Jazz and Soul. Party installation designed by Don Nace, Ed Radford, Rob Shepperson and Lynn Stein.

Enjoy pasta, wine, beer, great music , great company and conversation! Spouses, significant others and friends are all welcome.
